Hyderabad: With just hardly 10 days to go for the budget session of the State Assembly, the preparation of budget 2017-18 financial year is being done under unprecedented heavy security which is perhaps generally noticed in North Block in New Delhi which houses the Union Finance Ministry office.

Surprisingly, the third floor which had easy access to all till Monday evening is now under hawk eye as additional CCTV cameras have been installed both inside and outside the chamber of Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar and Secretaries to keep a track of those entering the office.

All the officials have been instructed to cancel their leaves and also not to speak to anyone. It appears that the government was worried over information pertaining to budget getting leaked.

What is more is that a special team of anti-hacking experts from the state IT department have also been deputed to the Finance Department to oversee the security of computer network and prevent any possible hacking.

All required measures to transfer the ‘confidential data’ from the computers to the publishing centres for the publication of budget material without any leakages have been taken a source told The Hans India.

The Deputy and Assistant Secretaries of the Finance Department have been entrusted to compile all the budget data and transfer the same to the higher authorities and minister for final approval.

To ensure safety of the officials who stay in the offices till late night, special transport arrangements have been made. Frisking at the entry of main gate of the Secretariat has been intensified.

The ongoing exercise of finalisation of budget proposals to each department was hastened as all the heads of the departments have been asked to make available to the Finance Minster and also Finance Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao for next two days.

Sources said that the budget session of the Assembly is likely to begin from March 8. The Finance Minister may present the budget in the Assembly on March 13. However, a final schedule is likely to be announced in next two days time.
