A galaxy of stars descended at Heera Mart in Kukatpally to launch three new ventures of the group’s flagship project on Sunday. International wrestling star ‘The Great Khali’ (Dilip Singh Rana) along with Bollywood actors Suniel Shetty, Bobby Deol, Aftab Shivdasani and actor producer Sohail Khan graced the launch of Heera Super Market, Heera Textiles and Heera Jewellers. The group’s CEO Dr Nowhera Sheikh was also present.

Khali stressed on women empowerment as majority of staff associated with Heera Group comprises women and girls. Appreciating the charitable endeavours of Dr Sheikh, he said, “Living for oneself is easy but living and working towards the good of others is very rare. Dr Sheikh deserves to be appreciated for her societal works.”

Echoing the sentiments, Shetty, Deol and Shivdasani said how a woman with will and determination can bring tremendous change in the society while also fulfilling social responsibility. They unanimously lauded her empowering endeavours where nearly 1,000 girl-students are given free education.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Sheikh, who is the only woman to be named in ‘Super 100’ book that lists the most successful Indian businesses in the Middle East and South Africa, said there is tremendous scope for women entrepreneurship in India and that the Indian law and system does not restrict women from progressing. She said if one has the determination and will; neither religion nor gender is an impediment to success.
According to Dr Shiekh, the company will be setting more places across India by the end of the year.
