Prices of rice wheat, sugar, edible oils, ghee and vegetables will rise sharply while chillies will become a bit cheaper, according to predictions in the Telugu Almanac prepared for The Hans India and HMTV by the famous astrologer Mulugu Ramalingeswara Varaprasad Siddhanthi.

On the development front, Telangana State will progress but the economic situation of Andhra Pradesh would go from bad to worse. On the other hand, the image of the YSRCP will show an upward trend and will gain greater popularity among people.

At the national level, some of the decisions taken by Kejriwal will create sensation.Hyderabad, which the government wants to develop as a global city, would see increase in gun culture. The new year also predicts increase in love marriages, suicides and deaths under suspicious circumstances. The banned gutkha business will thrive. Some important terrorists will be caught in Hyderabad and thereby a major disaster would be avoided.

As far as business is concerned, dry grass will have better market than gold. Besides the prices of stationery and books, colours used for painting houses will also become costlier. The number of unmarried boys will increase, according to the Almanac.

As far as weather-related predictions are concerned, water-related disasters would be on the higher side and people should be more cautious. North India will witness earthquakes.

On the cultural side, old films and songs will gain greater popularity and will be in more demand than the new ones. This year small-time heroes will become popular with audiences. However, some untoward incidents between the fans of popular film actors will be witnessed.

There’s good news for sports lovers. The famous badminton players, P V Sindhu and Saina Nehwal, will continue their success trail.

As far as the international scenario is concerned, Gulf countries are in for some misfortune. Similarly, countries like Cambodia, Lavos, Thailand, Mozambique, Newzealand, Zimbabwe, Australia, Fort McMurray (Canada), Brazil and Africa are in for bad times.
