Hyderabad: TRS MP, B Vinod Kumar, here on Thursday during a supplementary in the Lok Sabha highlighted an injustice that continued even after formation of Telangana regarding utilisation of Krishna River waters.

He said soon after the formation of the State of Telangana, the new State government had filed a petition before the Government of India under Section 3 of the Inter-State Water Disputes Act highlighting the injustice to the Sate, requesting the Centre to refer its complaint to the Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal-II headed by Justice Brijesh Mishra.

However, till now the Government had not taken any steps to refer the petition to the Tribunal. Moreover, the Law Ministry had endorsed the same. The state had always suffered under the previous governments and it was its right to get a fair share of the river waters now, he said seeking to know the reasons for the delay.
