ESL Narasimhan's term coming to an end, who will be the next Governor?

ESL Narasimhan, Governor of the two Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be completing his second term on May 2nd.

Whether the Centre extends his term for the third time or appoint someone else in the Governor's post is yet to be known. Also, another question among the political circles is whether there would be a United Governor once again for the two states or individual Governors would be appointed for AP and Telangana.

Having secured an extension to serve as governor of united Andhra Pradesh and the two new states, the Central government is yet to decide whether they will bid adieu to Narasimhan and appoint a person of their choice.

With the BJP governance coming into power in 2014, all the Governors in the states were replaced except for ESL Narasimhan.

While sources in Delhi suggest that the NDA government can appoint two new governors for Telangana and AP respectively or appoint one Governor for both the states. However, the possibility of Narasimhan getting an extension is still under consideration as he played a crucial role during Telangana movement in united Andhra Pradesh and later on in both Telugu states after bifurcation.

Also, he has been taking an initiative to resolve issues between two Telugu states post the bifurcation.
