The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) officials conducted an inspection at the Miyapur Metro station here on Saturday. Several streetscaping works are being undertaken at the station. A new storm water pipe drain being laid at Miyapur station area that would be connected with cross drains ensuring that there is no water stagnation in the station area. 

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) officials conducted an inspection at the Miyapur Metro station here on Saturday. Several streetscaping works are being undertaken at the station. A new storm water pipe drain being laid at Miyapur station area that would be connected with cross drains ensuring that there is no water stagnation in the station area.

Authorities directed the workers to remove all encroachments at bus bays and auto bays. HMR, MD, N V S Reddy said that large areas of quality public space would be created in the 2 km stretch between Miyapur and Hydernagar as the new "Raahgiri" venue, complete with children’s play area, yoga and exercise zone.

Special facilities shall be created for children and general public to participate in street art, graffiti. Ornamental plants would adorn the station area and subdued lighting arrangements would be made to highlight the facilities and the large granite stone wall of Metro Rail depot, added Reddy.

Chief Engineer, HMRL Md. Ziauddin; Chief Electrical Engineer DVS Raju, Superintending Engineer M Vishnuvardhan Reddy,General Manager (Works) BN Rajeshwar, Architect, Sankar Narayan and other senior engineers and officiala of HMRL took part in the inspection.
