Hyderabad: Various districts of Telangana continued to reel under a severe heatwave with Adilabad district today recording a highest maximum temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius, according to Indian Meterological Department.

The Met department has warned that thunderstorm accompanied with gusty wind is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Nagarkurnool, Nizamabad, Jagatiyal and Khammam of the state from this evening till 8.30 AM tomorrow.

Nizamabad recorded 43.4 degree Celsius, followed by Ramagudam 43.2, Medak 42.6 while state capital Hyderabad recorded 41.6 degree Celsius, according to the IMD website.

It also forecast of likely occurence of light to moderate rain/thundershowers at isolated places over the state.
