Nizamabad: Former Minister and Congress Party leader Gaddam Prasad lashed out at the NDA government for implementing anti-people polices during the last three years. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he said that the Congress would organise praja garjana programmes in protest against the NDA rule at the Centre and the TRS rule in the State.

Prasad said that the people were facing lot of hardships due to the demonetisation of high valued currency notes. Many people found it very difficult to get cash, he added. He said that the poor farmers and daily wage labourers were badly hit.

Earlier, he also held a review meeting with the Congress workers at the Congress party office in the city. Coming down heavily on the BJP president Amit Shah, Prasad described him as a big goonda who came to Telangana State to implement Operation Aakarsh to encourage defections from other political parties to the BJP.

In a blistering attack on the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Prasad described him as an autocrat who was promoting dictatorship in the State. He said that KCR did not implement even a single point in the party's manifesto though he made several false promises during elections in 2014.

He accused KCR of indulging in corruption and the three programmes Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha were being implemented only to collect commissions from contractors. He called upon the Congressmen to make the Praja grajana programmes a grand success.
