Raw deal to Telangana on funds from Centre
The TRS party on Tuesday alleged that the BJP led NDA government was showing step mother attitude towards the newly formed Telangana State in sanctioning of funds for various developmental schemes.

Hyderabad: The TRS party on Tuesday alleged that the BJP led NDA government was showing step mother attitude towards the newly formed Telangana State in sanctioning of funds for various developmental schemes.
Addressing the press here, party senior leaders Bhanu Prasad MLC and K Prabhakar Reddy MLA said that Telangana has got a raw deal in the release of Central funds .
The Union government had assured the state govt that it woud release funds for the prestigious Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya schemes which got appreciation from all states and the Centre but so far it had not given any funds.
The leaders said that under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao , the new state had achieved many milestones in the area of development and welfare. Telangana is the only state in the country which is providing highest number of pensions to the poor .
The single woman pension scheme which is to be implemented from June 2 on Telangana Formation Day would help to provide financial aid to the poor women.
They said the highest number of farmers suicides were reported from Maharashtra which is ruled by BJP. The TRS leaders demanded the BJP to release a white paper on the measures taken by BJP led NDA government for the welfare of farmers and steps initiated in curbing suicides in the country.
