Hyderabad: TDP has resolved to intensify its fight against the TRS government on continued suicides by farmers in Telangana. The party sought to know the reasons for not implementing the Rs 4000 per acre per season scheme from this year.

Moving a resolution on agriculture at party’s annual meeting at Mahanadu here, party senior leader A Narsa Reddy said that the lopsided policies adopted by TRS government had resulted in increasing the financial burden to farming community in Telangana.

He pointed out that many farmers who committed suicide due to debt s. The party has already extended financial help to distressed farmers and the TDP will continue to highlight the farmers’ problems at different platforms. Narsa Reddy said that the party will strive to revive farming sector if TDP is voted to power in next elections.

It will provide remunerative price to agriculture produce. Market Intervention and stabilisation fund will also be created for the welfare of farmers.The TDP also adopted resolutions on education, health, employment and labour reforms by highlighting the failures of TRS Government.
