In a road mishap, nine school children suffered grave injuries when an overloaded autorickshaw they were travelling in was rammed by a private school bus in Khammam district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the speeding bus belonging to a private school rammed into the autorickshaw injuring nine students of Kendriya Vidyalaya near the office of the Road Transport Authority (RTA) on the bypass in the district.
The students were rushed to local hospitals while three of them were shifted to a Hyderabad-based super-speciality hospital due to the severity of the injuries. Both the drivers involved in the collision were booked by the Khammam traffic police.
