GHMC not to accept property tax between July 5 & 12
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens not to make property tax payments between July 5 and July 12, as the revenue wing is updating its database to incorporate the newly-formed circles in it. The number of circles has gone up from 24 to 30. New circles have been given administrative staff also from June 2.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens not to make property tax payments between July 5 and July 12, as the revenue wing is updating its database to incorporate the newly-formed circles in it. According to GHMC official, the GHMC has divided the circles basing on 2011 census. Homeowners in the new circles will be provided with new property tax identification numbers (PTINs).
A senior GHMC official told The Hans India that the Centre for Good Governance (CGG) which has maintaining the civic body's website has asked the civic body to give them five working days to update the database in accordancewith the re-organised circles.
He said the property owners in six newly formed circles will be provided with new PTINs. He also requested citizens to not make property tax payments between June 5 and June 12. He also made it clear that the property tax payments will not be accepted in any of the Mee-seva centres, citizen service centres, online and others during this period.
Meanwhile, circle reorganisation was based on the population and each newly-formed circle will have populationof 2.65 lakh population. He said there will be a zonal office for every six circles.
The new circles are Kapra (circle 1), Uppal (circle 2), Hayathnagar (circle 3A), LB Nagar (circle 3B), Saroornagar (circle 3C), Malakpet (circle 4A), Santhosh Nagar (circle 4B), Chandrayangutta (circle 4C), Charminar (circle 5A), Falanaka (circle 5B),Rajendra Nagar (circle 6), Mehdipatnam (circle 7A), Kirwan (circle 7B), Gosh mahal (circle 8), Musheerabad (circle 9A), (Amber pet circle 9B), Khairtabad (circle 10A), Jubilee Hills (circle 10B), Yousufguda (circle 10C), Gachibowli (circle 11), Serilingampally (circle 12), RC Puram and Pancheri (circle 13), Moosapet (circle 14A), Kukatpally (circle 14B), Quthbullapur (circle 15A), Galatasaray (circle 15B), Alwal (circle 16), Makhaira (circle 17), Scuderia (circle 18A) and Begumpet (circle 18B).
