Vikarabad: District Collector Divya Devarajan on Thursday released Rs 3,714.43 crore credit plan for the financial year 2017-2018, at a meeting held at the Collectorate with the bank officials, Tahsildars and Agriculture department officials.

According to the credit plan, Rs 1,302.67 crore was allocated towards crop loans, Rs 649.43 crore towards time-bound loans, Rs 252.18 crore towards industrial sector, Rs 236.80 crore to education sector, Rs 503.98 crore towards housing loans, Rs 54.14 crore to other priority sectors and Rs 715.24 crore to other non-priority sectors.

The Collector directed the bank officials to sanction crop loans to all those farmers processing loan eligibility cards. “Coordination among Tahsildars and Agricultural department will enable speeding up the sanctioning process of crop loans. Farmers should be sensitised on crop insurance.” she added.

She asked the officials concerned to take immediate action on the complaints received through Kisan Mitra help line.

Sub-Collector Sandeep Kumar, District Agriculture Officer Gopal, Lead District Manager Sastri and officials from various banks and Agriculture departments and Tahsildars took part in the meeting.
