Mancherial: Referring to Excise and Enforcement investigation into smuggling and distribution issue, Gadwal Congress MLA DK Aruna slammed the State government saying, it was only hunting small fish leaving big sharks. She participated in Goddess Adiparasakti Bonalu festival here on Sunday.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Aruna declined to reveal the names of the big sharks in the drugs case. Even 12-year-old students addicting to drugs shows how the drug culture is spreading in the State, she stated. She also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was deceiving the people with his mesmerising talk.

The TRS government deceived the Singareni workers also in the name of dependent jobs, she added. When the Congress leader Digvijay Singh tweeted the nexus between politicians and mafia leaders, IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao took strong exception to it and turned tables on the Congress leader, she said.

She described Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as the inexperienced and inefficient chief minister and maintained that the people would teach the TRS a bitter lesson in the next Assembly elections. She exuded confidence that the Congress would come to power after the next polls.

The former minister participated in Ashaadam Bonalu celebrations in Mancherial along with TPCC official spokesperson Indira Shoban and other women leaders. Earlier, Aruna paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi statue.
