Congress to stage protests against growing atrocities on Dalits: Uttam Kumar
Telangana Congress Committee President N Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded the resignation of Industries Minister KT Rama Rao over police atrocity on Dalits and locals of Nerella village in Rajanna-Sircilla district.
Telangana Congress Committee President N Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded the resignation of Industries Minister KT Rama Rao over police atrocity on Dalits and locals of Nerella village in Rajanna-Sircilla district.
Citing that KTR represents Sircilla Assembly constituency, he alleged that police inflicted torture on Dalits for opposing the sand mafia which couldn't happen without the knowledge of KTR.
Uttam Kumar even questioned the silence of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on the incident and demanded KTR to be sacked from the cabinet if he doesn't resign.
Condemning the growing atrocities on Dalits, the TPCC president said that the Congress will be organizing protests all over the state against the 'police brutality' on Dalits in the 10 district headquarters on July 26 and also submit a memorandum to the respective district collectors on the issue.
