Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Tuesday.

KCR, who is in the national capital, met Rajnath Singh in the Parliament House after participating in the swearing ceremony of President Ram Nath Kovind. He discussed various issues pertaining to Telangana State with the Union Home Minister.

According to sources, KCR stressed upon Rajnath Singh to increase the number of Assembly seats in Telangana State as mandated in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. He also requested him to expedite the bifurcation of various corporations.

The Chief Minister was accompanied with TRS MPs Jithender Reddy and B. Vinod Kumar, Chief Advisor to TS Govt Dr. Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma and other officials.
