Kharif 2017: Insurance companies asked to furnish details of coverage of farmers
The top officials of Telangana Agriculture Department held a meeting with the insurance companies on Tuesday to review the status of coverage of farmers during Kharif 2017.
Hyderabad: The top officials of Telangana Agriculture Department held a meeting with the insurance companies on Tuesday to review the status of coverage of farmers during Kharif 2017.
The meeting was chaired by Agriculture Department Secretary C. Partha Sarathi and attended by Agriculture Commissioner Jagan Mohan and representatives of Agriculture Insurance Company, Chola MS, National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Company and other officials of Agriculture Department.
The officials asked the insurance companies to furnish the details of farmers covered (both loanee & non loanee), area insured & premium collected for Kharif 2017. As the Govt. has issued BRO, the companies have been asked to compute the claims at the earliest for 2016-17. The cut off date for Cotton is 31st July for both loanee and non loanee.
