Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the Congress High Command might change the State Congress president in the month of October.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Venkat Reddy said that the Congress High Command has given clear indications of changes in the TPCC by October. He said he was in the race for the post of TPCC President and he has already made a representation to AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in this regard. He said he had requested Rahul Gandhi to provide him an opportunity to lead the Congress party in Telangana State.

Venkat Reddy also claimed that the Congress party could win 65-70 seats if elections are held today. He said TRS would not be able to win more than 30 seats. He said Congress would win almost 80% seats in Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts. He said that the TRS candidates would lose their deposits in Nakrekal and Suryapet Assembly segments.

The Congress leader said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was trying to mislead the people by conducting bogus surveys.
