Indie Winds Academy of Music (IWAM) pre-launched its upcoming music album ‘Rithu Chakra- The Circle of Seasons’ at Press Club on Tuesday. The album has six songs about six seasons of India like Vasant Ritu (Spring), Grishma (Summer), Varsha (Monsoon), Sharad (Autumn), Hemant (Pre-winter) and Shishir (Winter).

The album was composed by Surya Vakkalanka, a California-based singer, keyboard player and composer and Nagaraju Talluri, Hyderabad-based flutist and composer. Nagaraju Talluri, flutist, and composer says, “We worked hard for this album. I composed music for Telugu films like ‘Adishankara’ among others.

I met Surya Vakkalankain 2010 and we wanted to do something different and came up with new concept of explaining the greatness of six Indian seasons through music. We will release the album online on August 15 by Avakaya Music Band.”

Other member of the group Surya Vakkalanka, singer, and composer says, “I’m working as a software engineer in California, USA. I was interested in music since my childhood. Previously, I composed more than 100 songs for the ‘Silicon Andhra Organisation’ in the USA.

From last one year, we are doing music shows through Avakaya Music Band. I was inspired by International music and wanted to do something for India and did this album.”
