Hyderabad: The Met Department bulletin said on Friday that a low pressure area is likely to develop during next 24 hours over south Bangladesh and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal, where an upper air cyclonic circulation is persisting.

Trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh is also persisting. These developments will result in light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Telangana from August 5 to 9.

During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, the Southwest monsoon was weak in the State. Rain occurred at a few places. There was one cm of rain each in Kaleshwaram, Ibrahimpatnam, Jakranpalli, Bheemgal, Ramgundam, Eturunagaram, Chennur and Mancherial.
