Hyderabad: The Telangana state government is all set to take up another round of 'Sakala Janula Survey (SKS)' in December. This time the survey is aimed to ascertain the reach of government schemes to the needy, total number of beneficiaries in every programme and socio-economic transformation among poor sections particularly under the influence of TRS government's programme in every community.

The study will also focus on the hurdles in the fast pace implementation of several welfare and developmental programmes. The conduct of second round of SKS has been proposed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at a recent meeting with the top officials of all departments. In the meeting, the CM discussed the impact of welfare and developmental programmes introduced by the TRS government since he assumed office.

A top official told The Hans India that the Chief Minister analysed the annual reports prepared by the state planning and all welfare departments. He raised several doubts on the data compiled by the wings concerned. KCR informed the officials that the reports will be authenticated only with the manual collection of data at ground level.

The CM asked Planning, Health and Medical, BC, SC, ST and Minority departments to prepare a questionnaire to elicit views from all beneficiaries and their suggestions on each scheme.
The Chief Minister wanted the feedback from the beneficiaries on flagship programmes like Mission Kakatiya, Kalyana Laxmi, single women pension scheme, fee reimbursement, new educational facilities, sheep distribution and other community-based schemes. The second survey is likely to be taken up in this December.

The data, which is already collected in the recent ‘Farmers Integrated Survey’, will be used to strengthen farming community.

Before taking up the survey, KCR would hold series of meeting with all government departments for at least one week in Hyderabad.

He would give necessary directions to all department officials in successful implementation of every programme.

Based on the outcome, the government will revisit the execution of the programmes and bring necessary changes, if any. Sources said that KCR will give priority in the budget allocations for 2018-19 based on the outcome of the second SKS.

The report would not only help the Chief Minister to ascertain the people's aspirations but also assist for the preparation of TRS election manifesto in 2019 elections.

The government has conducted first SKS in 2015 which attracted national attention and also some other states followed suit. Based on the data, the TS government conceived many schemes.
