In this regard, Hyderabad Bicycling Club (HBC) in association with CII organised the annual ‘Chak De India Ride’ at National Academy of Construction (NAC) in Madhapur on Sunday. The event was flagged off by Ajay Mishra, Special Chief Secretary - Energy, Telangana.

Hundreds of cyclists from all walks of life along with senior officials and CEOs participated in the third edition of ride. The GHMC is planning to lay a cycling track along the Musi River stretch and the HMDA is planning for a track along the ORR stretch and these will be executed soon.”

“As Hyderabad is gearing up for the inauguration of upcoming Metro Rail across the city, it is imperative to opt for cycling as the first and last mile connectivity mode. HBC is in the process of creating the required cycling infrastructure by putting up 500 bike stations across the city. About 10,000 state-of-the-art bicycles including e-bikes would be positioned at these bike stations,” said DV Manohar.
