Road accident kills SI, woman constable in Hyderabad
In a tragic road accident, a sub-inspector of police working in Vikarabad special branch and a woman constable at Chevella police station were killed in Hyderabad on Saturday.
In a tragic road accident, a sub-inspector of police working in Vikarabad special branch and a woman constable at Chevella police station were killed in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The incident occured when the car they were travelling crashed into a tree at Himayathsagar outer ring road. A woman trainee constable also sustained injuries and is being treated at the hospital.
The SI identified as Khaleel was returning home after undergoing a training programme at the Telangana State Police Academy and was accompanied by two other woman constables, Keerthi and Mamta, whom he offered to drop home in his car.
At the Outer Ring Road’s service road, Khaleel reportedly lost control of the vehicle resulting in the accident. While the SI died on the spot, Keerthi succumbed to her injuries at the Osmania Hospital while undergoing treatment.
