Hyderabad: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places, with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely to occur in all districts of Telangana on August 18, the Met department bulletin warned on Thursday. The bulletin said very heavy rainfall at isolated places with heavy falls at a few places is likely to occur in all districts on August 19. It also forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places in all districts on August 20.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over Telangana from August 18 to 21. No large change during the subsequent three days is the weather outlook.

According to the bulletin, the heavy rainfall is the result of the upper air cyclonic circulation lying over north Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood and tilting south-westwards. Under its influence a low pressure area is likely to develop during the next 48 hours.

The bulletin said during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, the South-west monsoon was weak over Telangana. Isolated rain occurred in the State, while no station reported heavy rain.
