Hyderabad: The Electricity Employees Federation of India (EEFI) conducted a meeting on the Centre’s decision to amend the ‘Electricity Bill of 2003’.

Addressing the gathering, All India General Secretary of EEFI N Choudhary has stressed that the decision of the government to amend the ‘Electricity Bill of 2003’ would commercialise the electricity in the country. He also said the Centre's move would also snatch away the right of the citizens of the country to have electricity in their residences.

The members present in the meeting resented the underpayment to the employees in the Electricity department. The members have stated that employees in the department have been paid low salaries when compared to other departments.
