Delhi Public School (DPS) Secunderabad, celebrated the ‘Nrityanjali- 2017’ dance festival with great zeal and fervour recently. In an event organised at the school campus, participants from ten schools of DPS Society showcased their performances vying with each other for the coveted trophy.

Delhi Public School (DPS) Secunderabad, celebrated the ‘Nrityanjali- 2017’ dance festival with great zeal and fervour recently. In an event organised at the school campus, participants from ten schools of DPS Society showcased their performances vying with each other for the coveted trophy.

A statement from the management said, “Delhi Public School Society initiated this Inter-DPS Zone 7 Dance festival Nrityanjali-2017 to make the students experience this rich cultural legacy of this land of the hypnotic mystique.”

Principal, DPS- Secunderabad, Shailaja Gopinath addressed the gathering. The Chief Guest who graced the occasion was Kalakrishna-Andhra Natyam exponent.

The participant teams were from Bangalore (North), Bangalore South, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Miyapur, Nacharam, Secunderabad, Uniworld City Chennai, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and Warangal.

Kalakrishna’s words of wisdom reflected his sublime attitude towards dance and he exhorted the students to imbibe the ethos of Indian dance and to revel in its aesthetics.
