Hyderabad: The State government on Wednesday released Rs 48 crore for catering to the drinking water needs in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) jurisdiction.
The Revenue Special Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Disaster Management BR Meena issued orders for the release of funds.
According to GO No. 48, Revenue (Disaster Management) department, the HMWS&SB had sought the release of the funds for drinking water needs of people beyond GHMC limits and within ORR limits.
