More TSRTC depots record profits
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). Chairman S Satyanarayana on Wednesday said that 34 depots of RTC have come in profits because of various measures taken up by the corporation.
Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). Chairman S Satyanarayana on Wednesday said that 34 depots of RTC have come in profits because of various measures taken up by the corporation.
The RTC chairman addressing in high mileage awards function held at RTC Kala Bhavan, Bagh Lingampally on Wednesday said though the financial situation of the corporation was not good, the workforce of RTC was striving to strengthen it.
During the previous year, only 5 depots were in profit and today 34 depots are getting profit. The corporation was trying to minimize the losses to Rs 120 crore. He praised corporation drivers for showing remarkable commitment by running the buses up to 12 lakh km, two more than the expected lifetime of the bus.
At present 808 buses out of 8,600 buses had crossed 10 lakh km. He further added the corporation would provide connectivity to 1,400 new villages this year. The chairman presented awards to the drivers and supervisors. RTC MD G V Ramana Rao said that the achievement was possible because of the team work and team spirit of the workforce of TSRTC.
