Hyderabad: Telangana Government will spend Rs. 1665 crore to develop 32 KM stretch of Musi River in the next one year.

Speaking to media persons after assuming charge as the Chairman of newly constituted Musi River Front Development Corporation, Prem Singh Rathore on Wednesday said that the expenditure of Rs. 1665 Crore was only for the first phase while the government was ready to spend more money to develop Musi River as a tourist destination. He said that works on the first phase would begin by this year end. He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was keen on preservation and development of Musi River and has assured liberal financial support for the same.

Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and other TRS leaders and senior officials were also present.
