HMWS&SB modifies water tanker rates
The recently hiked rates of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) water tankers were revised following the directions of Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao.
Hyderabad: The recently hiked rates of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) water tankers were revised following the directions of Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao.
The previous price hike of the tankers was, for domestic trips of 5 kilo litres (KL) and 10 kilo litres (KL) the rate was Rs 400 and Rs 800 respectively which was hiked to Rs 600 and Rs 1150 respectively and prices of commercial tankers with the capacity 5 KL, 10KL and 20 KL were hiked from Rs 700, Rs 1400 and Rs 2800 to Rs 900, Rs 1750 and Rs 3500 respectively.
However, after re-revising the prices, tankers with domestic trips of 5 kilo litres (KL) and 10 kilo litres (KL) will now be charged Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 respectively. The commercial tankers with capacity 5 KL, 10 KL and 20 KL will now be charged Rs 850, Rs 1700 and Rs 3,400 respectively.
These new rates shall come into effect from September 1. The water board further informs the consumers that this revision shall not affect the common man as the water supplied through the tankers is only of miniscule percentage of the total supplies which have been improved after the Krishna and Godavari augmentation phases.
