Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police on Wednesday announced the imposition of traffic restrictions for Ganesh immersion ceremony in the city on September 5, next Tuesday.

In a press release here, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Sandeep Shandilya, said that vehicles carrying Ganesh idols from Bowenpally and other colonies of Secunderabad will reach the Hasmathpet tank via Anjaiahnagar..

After completing the immersion of idols, the vehicles will make an exit from the Old Bowenpally mosque road and Harijanbasthi.

At IDL Tank, the vehicles carrying Ganesh idols from Godrej or from JNTU will converge at IDL junction and proceed towards the Tank and make an exit towards Rainbow vista and go towards Naina garden.

The road will be closed from IDL tank entrance to Rainbow Vista T-Junction Road to facilitate the immersion of idols. On flyovers, vehicles carrying Ganesh idols will not be allowed on Fathenagar flyover from Balanagar, Balkampet and Sanathnagar side due to security reasons. Similarly, vehicles carrying Ganesh idols will not be allowed to ply on Cyber Towers flyover and Gachibowli flyover.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply on the Balanagar to Fathenagar Bridge, Godrej to Erragadda , Miyapur to Godrej , Ferojguda to Godrej , Gudenmet to Narsapur ‘X’ Roads. The TSRTC buses are also restricted from plying on the Aramghar crossroad towards Bahadurpura

The restrictions will be imposed from 6 AM on September 5 to 6 AM on September 6.
