Khairatabad Ganesh is all set to head for immersion and preparations are being made for the same. Devotees are thronging the pandal in large numbers to catch a glimpse on the last day.
This year, the Ganesh Visarjan will start with the immersion of Khairatabad Ganesh idol. Earlier, the Khairatabad Ganesh would be the last to conclude the immersion programme. The decision was made by the GHMC and Utsava Committee in order to clear the traffic congestion.
The Ganesh procession has begun after the early morning poojas and the immersion is likely to be completed by afternoon.
This year, the Khairtabad laddu didn't have its glory as the organisers arranged plastic Laddu. The Khairatabad Ganesh has been made of 40,000 kg plaster of paris at a height of 57 feet height.
