New Delhi: Centre is all set to hold a meeting with senior officials of Water Resources Ministry to discuss the problems confronting the Telangana Government in executing its prestigious projects like Palamur Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project (PRLIP), SRSP, Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha.

This was disclosed to the Telangana Irrigation Minister, T Harish Rao at a meeting held on Thursday morning by the Union Minister for Water Resources, Nitin Gadkari. Rao paid a courtesy call to the Minister on his (Gadkari’s) new responsibility.

Harish Rao briefed the Union Minister on the ongoing projects and sought his help in their completion and also release of all pending funds from the Centre to the State.

Accompanied by TRS Parliamentary Party leader, A P Jitender Reddy, Harish Rao urged the Minister to speed up road development works in the State. Reddy detailed the proposals sent to the Centre for upgrading Jadcherla-Mahbubnagar Road to four lane at the earliest.

He also listed several other pending and ongoing projects which the Telangana Government sought to complete at the earliest.
