Cellars, roads waterlogged in Miyapur; Locals blame officials for delayed action
As incessant rains have been pouring down in Hyderabad since Wednesday night, three lakes have been overflowing in and around Deepti Srinagar colony.
As incessant rains have been pouring down in Hyderabad since Wednesday night, three lakes have been overflowing in and around Deepti Srinagar colony.
This, however, resulted in flooding of roads and cellars in apartments, in Miyapur area with the roads getting submerged in water.
Officials have swung into action and are trying to pump out the water from the cellars. However, with the traffic coming to a standstill and the waterlogged, the locals are lashing out at the officials for their delayed response.
They stated that the condition was similar 20 days back when the rains poured down heavily and no action was taken during the dry spell. The locals charged that the officials are creating a flutter once the rains are back just to get some attention from the media.
