Hyderabad: In a bid to woo the BC communities in a big way in 2019 elections, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to bring in new welfare and development programmes targeting to benefit every individual in the Backward Communities.

The Chief Minister held a high-level review meeting with officials on BC welfare and the status of schemes under implementation. He instructed the officials to come out with more number of schemes for the welfare of every family belonging to the BC sections. KCR wanted to enforce the new schemes from October onwards and desired that the BC schemes in the state should be based on the facts and ground realities.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials of the Most Backward Classes Finance Corporation, which was set up with Rs 1,000 crore fund, to organise special programmes for the upliftment of these sections. The proposal to extend Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh financial assistance to poor families under self-employment scheme was also discussed.

He announced that he would hold meeting with people on communities based to have clarity on the programmes to be formulated for them.
