GHMC Mayor directs officials to complete LED project by Diwali
GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan has directed the Electrical wing officials and the representatives of EESL and the contractors to complete the LED project by this Diwali.
Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan has directed the Electrical wing officials and the representatives of EESL and the contractors to complete the LED project by this Diwali.
The Mayor conducted a detailed review meeting with the
Electrical Wing officials, representatives of EESL, along with the contractors, at the GHMC Head Office on Tuesday. In this connection, he said that 4.60 lakh existing street lights must be replaced with LED lights as per the target assigned.
So far, the GHMC has provided 1.76 lakhs LED bulbs and remaining 2.87 lakhs LED works would be taken up on war footing basis. He also instructed to take the services of Electrical wing workers. In the city, there are around 25,000 on and off switches in which only 1,000 switches have been provided and remaining 24,000 has to be taken up on priority.
