GHMC to erect 826 modern bus shelters across Hyd
As per directions of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in coordination with the Administration Staff College of India (ASCI) is planning to erect 826 ultra-modern bus shelters with all amenities like free Wi-Fi, modern public toilets, anytime water kiosks, FM Radio, comfortable seating and provision for all
Hyderabad: As per directions of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in coordination with the Administration Staff College of India (ASCI) is planning to erect 826 ultra-modern bus shelters with all amenities like free Wi-Fi, modern public toilets, anytime water kiosks, FM Radio, comfortable seating and provision for allowing electronic streaming of bus timings and routes across the city.
In the Package I, a total of 110 new bus shelters will be constructed, along with demolition and reconstruction of new ones at 104 locations. In Package II, 119 new shelters along with demolition and reconstruction of 100 shelters will be constructed. In Package III, a total of 98 shelters will be erected anew, along with demolition of 96 and construction of new ones in their place. Under Package IV, 103 new shelters will be constructed along with demolition and re-erection of 96.
