Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) officials have been contemplating to withdraw all 155 air condition buses operating parallel to Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) lines. However, 80 per cent of the metro deluxe and metro express buses will continue to run parallel to metro rail.

TSRTC Greater Hyderabad Zone Executive Director, A Purushottam said that after the metro rail runs in all four phases, the TSRTC would withdraw all the air condition buses running parallel to metro rail lines and will be diverted to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and Hi-tech city. He also said that the department has no plans to withdraw ordinary buses.

Meanwhile, the TSRTC officials have inspected 12 metro rail stations for providing space for RTC buses at metro stations. The officials would soon write letter to metro rail to provide parking space, bus shelters, bus bays, bus counters and rest room for the RTC staff at metro stations.
