Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed happiness over the successful implementation of the Sheep distribution programme in the State.

Hyderabad : Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed happiness over the successful implementation of the Sheep distribution programme in the State.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the Sheep Distribution programme with the CMO officials. He sought information on district wise. The officials informed the CM that so far 21,18,060 Sheep were distributed among one lakh 865 beneficiaries. The CM said in short duration of time, more than a lakh units were given more than 21 Lkah Sheep which a record of sorts in the history.

KCR congratulated the officers concerned. He also congratulated Director Animal Husbandry Laxma Reddy and other officials for distributing Sheep to more than Lakh units in the state.

Set up a Plant nursery in every village: CM

The Chief Minister said that for the Haritha Haram Programme next year, in every village a plant nursery should be set up without fail. The local bodies should run them. In 10, villages which include the newly formed Gram Panchayats, nurseries should be set up.

KCR also wanted nurseries in the newly formed municipalities, Corporations, Municipalities Division wise. In Hyderabad, each Division should have three to four nurseries. The forest department should provide the required seed, technology to the nurseries. Local bodies should pay attention to the management nurseries, they should distribute sapling among the people and encourage them to plant them. The forest department officials should focus on forest protection and revival programmes.
