Hyderabad: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy on Thursday said Prof Kancha Ilaiah’s campaign against a particular caste was not justified. He said action would be taken against Prof Illaih basing on case being filed against him.
Meanwhile, referring to suicide committed by a Home Guard, Narasimha Reddy advised them not to resort to extreme step. The government would sympathetically consider their problems, he said. He charged the Opposition leaders with instigating the beneficiaries to consign the Batukamma saris to flames.
The Home Minister distributed compensation cheques to the bereaved families of construction workers who died at the work places.
