Hyderabad: Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) programme has decided to focus on prevention of child marriages and child trafficking.

The GAA Programme being carried out by Mahita is being implemented in six districts of Telangana State and three districts in Andhra Pradesh. Mahita, as part of its plans to spread its activities, organised a State-level interface between youth and girls’ networks and government representatives here on Saturday.

As many 120 participants, including 60 children from Adilabad, Gadwal, Yadadri, Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar and Siddipet spoke at the meeting. The programme was attended by Dr Sayanna, Director, State Resource Centre, Sunita, Special District Judge, Secunderabad, Sridevi, Junior Civil Judge, Rami Reddy, Juvenile Justice Board member, Nalgonda.
