Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha on Thursday announced that the Telangana Government was planning to distributed laptops among students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. She said a decision in this regard would be taken soon.

Kavitha, along with Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari and Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, inaugurated the polytechnic college in Navipet of Nizamabad district. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the TRS Government has laid special focus on education sector. She said over 500 residential schools have been established to impart quality education to students belonging to various communities.

The Nizamabad MP claimed that Telangana has highest number of residential schools in the country and the Telangana's spending on education was also highest compared to other States in India.
