High police security deployed for Grama Sabha on Mallanna Sagar project

Grama Sabha is all set to be conducted today at Vemulaghat to gather the public response on the construction of Mallanna Sagar.

Also, despite 13 of the 14 submerging villages in Thoguta mandal registering their lands to the state government, a larger number of villagers from Vemulaghat are still protesting for fair compensation.

The villagers, however, are worried about the public meeting as they claimed that the government had imposed several restrictions during the recently conducted public opinion on Kaleswaram project.

Hence, they are now ensuring that each and every villager attends the public meeting on Mallana Sagar Project. They are even utilizing social media to create awareness on the public meeting and are requesting political party representatives to be present at the venue.

Officials at Siddipet are taking measures and high police security has been deployed at Vemulaghat for the smooth conduct of the grama sabha.
