Hyderabad: A fake educational certificates racket was busted during a joint operation by SOT, L B Nagar and Chaitanyapuri police. An advocate and an MBA graduate were arrested on the charges of preparing and selling fake educational certificates to aspirants.

According to police, the accused are identified as Shaikh Basheer Ahmed, 45, an advocate and resident of Musheerabad and Vamshi Krishna, 29, MBA graduate who runs an educational consultancy with the name PHD. Because of insufficient income, they indulged in creating and selling fake degree certificates. “After the arrest of Vamshi Krishna, he revealed the name of Shaikh Basheer.

Both the accused persons were produced before the Magistrate by Chaitanyapuri police,” DCP LB Nagar, M Venkateswar Rao said.
