Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has strongly condemned registration of a narcotics case against ex-minister and Congress senior leader D. Sridhar Babu

In a media statement, Uttam Kumar Reddy described the case as the result of a conspiracy hatched by ruling TRS party at the instance of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao. Stating that the Congress party totally backs Sridhar Babu, he alleged that the Congress leader was being implicated in a false case of ganja. He said the TRS leaders were upset with Sridhar Babu as he had exposed irregularities and corruption in Kaleshwaram project. He said a false case has been registered the former minister only to harass him and intimidate him.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress leaders were not the only victims of TRS Government. He said leaders of Left parties, TJAC, NGOs, labour unions, students' and youth organisations and other groups were also being implicated in one or the other false case. He warned that the Congress party would launch a mass agitation against the intimidating and anti-democratic moves of TRS Government.
