MLA NVSS Prabhakar stages dharna
Uppal MLA NVSS Prabhakar staged a daylong dharna in Nacharam on Wednesday protesting the negligence of the government towards the public and the ‘Red Tapism’ in GHMC. The MLA sat on dharna along with hundreds of residents demanding immediate construction of Nacharam Bridge, culvert at Yerragunta and desilting of both HMT Nagar and Yerragunta Lakes.
Uppal MLA NVSS Prabhakar staged a daylong dharna in Nacharam on Wednesday protesting the negligence of the government towards the public and the ‘Red Tapism’ in GHMC. The MLA sat on dharna along with hundreds of residents demanding immediate construction of Nacharam Bridge, culvert at Yerragunta and desilting of both HMT Nagar and Yerragunta Lakes.
The MLA said the residents near Nacharam and Mallapur suffered a lot because of the overflowing nala for three years. “The government on one hand says that it wants Hyderabad to be Vishwanagaram but at ground level the problems are not solved by the officials and release of funds is also meagre,” he said.
Government officials of irrigation, roads and building and GHMC projects held a series of discussions with the MLA at dharna place and agreed their failure in starting the work and coordination among them. The officials assured that the work will be taken up in 15 days.Later the MLA warned that he would launch severe protest, if works are not commenced as promised.
