KCR counters Uttam Kumar on farm loan waiver in TS Assembly

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief, Uttam Kumar Reddy addressed the issue of loan waiver for farmers in the Winter Session of the Assembly today.Stating that despite the TRS government waiving farmers’ loans to an amount of Rs 17 crores in four installments, he said that it is only the principal amount and that the farmers are still paying interest on the interest amounts.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief, Uttam Kumar Reddy addressed the issue of loan waiver for farmers in the Winter Session of the Assembly today.
Stating that despite the TRS government waiving farmers’ loans to an amount of Rs 17 crores in four installments, he said that it is only the principal amount and that the farmers are still paying interest on the interest amounts.
Uttam Kumar added that he could prove this by getting a report from the farmers all over Telangana.
Responding to this, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that if they manage to submit a report in this regard, he would definitely sanction the amount, irrespective of what the amount might be.
