Hyderabad : Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Saturday said that so far more than one lakh KCR Kits were distributed among women who went for institutional deliveries.

Speaking after inaugurating a medical camp in Warangal along with Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, KTR said that the TRS Government has paid special attention on strengthening of health sector. Public hospitals were upgraded and equipped with latest equipment and medicines. He said the number of patients visiting government hospitals has increased since TRS Government took over. This was due to increase in faith on public hospitals by the common people, he claimed.

KTR said that the steps like KCR Kits has ensured the protection of pregnant women and children as it encouraged more number of institutional deliveries.

The minister also announced that Warangal district would be turned into industrial corridor to create thousands of jobs for the youth. He said a decision was also taken to set up a Leather Park on Station Park. He said measures were also being taken for the welfare of weavers by strengthening entire textiles sector. He said an amount of Rs. 1283 crore has been allocated in the budget for the Handlooms Sector.

Meanwhile, KTR also laid foundation stone for the construction of double bed room houses for weaker sections in Hanamkonda. He also inaugurated the Swachh Autos for Warangal Town.
