Hyderabad: The High Court at Hyderabad has directed the Telangana State government to place before it the entire record pertaining to the investigation carried out so far in the Miyapur land scam case.

The division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice G Shyam Prasad gave this direction on Tuesday while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition filed by BJP official spokesman M Raghunandan Rao seeking transfer of probe into Miyapur land scam to CBI. The petitioner who argued as a Party-in-Person, told the bench that the government in its affidavit to the court had stated that registration of lands to the extent of 693 acres in Survey numbers 20, 28,100 and 101 in Miyapur were cancelled.

The affidavit also stated that registration of 70 acres of land belonging to Rajya Sabha member Keshava Rao in Dandu Mailaram village was also cancelled. He complained that the main accused in the case had not been arrested so far and it showed the tardy manner in which investigation was going on.

The Special Government Pleader A Sanjeev Kumar submitted that the petitioner was bringing new issues in every hearing and the Survey numbers he cited were not in any way concerned with Miyapur land scam. The bench questioned if there was no connection then why did the Government suspend the Sub-Registrars and book cases against them and why did it cancel the registrations. It sought complete record of investigation carried out so far and adjourned the case to Wednesday.
