Hyderabad : The Election Commission of India has converted the ongoing revision of electoral rolls in the Municipal Corporations in Telangana State comprising of 36 Assembly constituencies as Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2018.

The Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2017 was taken up in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Sanga Reddy, Patencheru, Malkajgiri, Qutubullapur, Kukatpally, Uppal, L.B. Nagar, Maheshwaram, Rajender Nagar, Serilingampally, Musheerbabad, Malakpet, Amberpet, Khairtabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Nampally, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayanguta, Yakutpura, Bahadurpura, Secunderabad, Secunderabad Cantonment (SC), Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Ghanpur Station (SC), Parkal, Warangal West, Warangal East, Wardhannapet (SC), Khammam and Palair Assembly constituencies.

Door to door enumeration was taken up in these constituencies using the Tablet devices. During the door to door enumeration, electoral rolls have been purified by weeding out the dead/shifted electors. As on October 23, 2017, door to door verification has been completed. The electors in Draft Rolls are 88,85,142.

As per ECI's schedule, for Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2018, the draft rolls will be published on November 27 and claims and objections will be received up to December 31. There will be special campaign on 17th and 24th December. The claims and objections will b e disposed by January 10, 2018. While the data updation will be completed by January 13, the final rolls will be printed on January 15 and published on January 20.

The ECI authorities have urged all the electors/citizens to verify the draft electoral rolls which will be available at all designated locations such as office of District Election Officer, Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant EROs and also made available on the CEO website www.ceotelangana.nic.in.

All eligible citizens who will attain 18 years of age as on 01.01.2018 and those missed to enrol themselves on earlier occasions, can file their applications for enrolment, objection and correction from November 26 to December 31.
